We offer a variety of divisions, low registration fees, and tons of fun. All profits are donated to the OCASL Foundation, a group that provides funds for children and adults to play organized sports in the Triangle.

What are the divisions, and when do you start?

Our 4th season will start registering on January 1, 2024. Play starts the week of February 18, and runs until April 20. Deadline to register is February 11. Skip to here for division details.

How are we different from other leagues?

  1. Teams consist of 4 players matching the age/skill/gender requirements of the division.
  2. Every player on your team plays in every match, i.e. you don't have to sit out any matches that you are available for.
  3. We have divisions for singles, intermediate and advanced mixed doubles, women's doubles, and men's doubles.
  4. If you don't have a team, we will help you find one. If you have 2 or 3 friends, and need a free agent, we'll help you find one.
  5. Our matches are similar to Major League Pickleball, and include a super fun Team Singles game each match.
  6. If you really can't make it to a match, a substitute can take your place.
  7. Because our teams are small, we expect to have plenty of teams in each division to give you a variety of competition.
  8. If you want to play, but need financial assistance, just ask. We have scholarship money available.
  9. All profits are donated to charity (OCASL Foundation).

Bio: Michelle Hunt is a PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) Certified Coach. She especially loves working with beginners or those who are not quite new but want to improve their skills. She also loves playing doubles and singles and hopes her joy in playing transfers to her students.

Locations: Michelle lives in South Durham and is flexible as to location, but prefers Piney Wood Park and Garrett Road Park.

Jacob Rubel

Levels: Jacob is open to coaching players of all levels. Whether your goal is to become the best pickleball player you can be, or you just want to fit in at the local public courts, Jacob will help you get there.

Bio: Jacob is a PPR-certified pickleball instructor who has been playing pickleball since the summer of 2020. He has been coaching for over a year, between working with TennisBloc, the Raleigh JCC, and private lessons. Jacob believes improvement comes from purposeful practice, game play, and knowing your own strengths and weaknesses.

Locations: Jacob is open to coaching anywhere in the Triangle. Jacob has access to courts in Cary, Apex, Raleigh, and Durham. Of course, if you have access to your own courts, Jacob is willing to do lessons there as well.

Tracey Taylor

Bio: Currently medalling at 4.5/5.0 myself, I am a player that became fascinated with breaking down the game to maximize my skills while minimizing my opponents. more... I hold clinics at Walltown in Durham for Durham Parks and Recreation teaching fundamentals, and facilitate tournaments, events and fundraisers all over North Carolina as well including the BODYARMOR State Games, Dink for Pink, Bull City Open, and the Nutcracker. Currently teaching Novice, Beginner & Advanced private instruction, doubles strategy, team prep, and group lessons. Drilling creates muscle memory and that's certainly at the heart of my lessons along with a few laughs.

Bio: Bob Bradley is a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) certified professional coach. He has been coaching for 3+ years and commits to his pickleball clients with professionalism, joy, and passion. He is a competitive 4.0 tournament level player and medalist in local and regional singles and doubles tournaments. He is recently been selected as an adjunct instructor at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, teaching pickleball to UNC students.
